Artist's Comments

I was taking a series of portrait images with this guy, when suddenly it started fluttering about it's wings. It was a very close image and it was necessary to add canvas to both sides. The shoulder on the right was slightly clipped and re-constructed. I especially like the slight motion blur of the shoulder area, exaggerating the red shoulders. Taking during a meet-up with our photographer pal, Gene Whipp.

I honestly thought you are teasing us - I NEVER saw a redwinged blackbird. Had to google, to belive it.

Ooh, this is a very nice picture! I've never seen a picture of a red-winged blackbird before really... I usually only see them when they're eating all the millet by my house and I accidentally hit them with my car. ;0;
